In an exciting collaboration and partnership with Woodcliffe Landmark Properties, KDA has created a unified signage and wayfinding program for this groundbreaking establishment. Going beyond mere wayfinding, our program blends creativity and functionality, with meticulous attention to detail.
KDA celebrates each vendor’s unique identity, weaving their food stories into the fabric of the space while providing seamless wayfinding throughout.
From themed iconography to intuitive cartography, menus to branded motifs, every element is harmonized to immerse food lovers in a culinary journey of flavour and culture.
Culinary Journey
Waterworks Food Hall is the culmination of eight years of extensive research from around the world. Inspiration was found in renowned food halls in Copenhagen, London, Madrid, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and beyond.
More than just a collection of restaurants and food stalls, Waterworks Food Hall offers a multifaceted experience and a communal gathering place.
Inspired by the global rise of food halls, KDA’s signage program delivers a wayfinding experience that caters to the foodie culture and naturally pays homage to the legacy of the Waterworks building.
Historic market place to modern marvel
Waterworks Food Hall is a culinary destination encompassing 55,000 square feet, featuring 20 artisanal food vendors, 3 bars, and a 12,000 square foot event space. The heritage 1932 Art Deco adaptation and meticulous restoration from historic market place to modern marvel, features soaring 44-foot ceilings, steel beams, and columns, creating a unique and memorable dining experience.
KDA’s informative and purposeful interpretive panels showcase the rich history and transformation of the Waterworks building into this exceptional food hall!
