WaterPark Place
Oxford Properties, Toronto
WaterPark Place is a dynamic, mixed-use complex comprising three towers with a host of amenities and services, including office spaces, retail shops, restaurants, fitness centre, and more. Connecting to Toronto’s PATH system and Union Station, these towers are a prominent part of Toronto’s skyline and are known for their modern architecture and prime location along the waterfront.
KDA was retained to create a comprehensive branding, signage and wayfinding master plan encompassing both exterior and interior elements for the 31-storey office tower located at 88 Queens Quay East. This initiative also involved expanding the newly designed system to the existing towers at 10 and 20 Bay Street.
The overarching strategy aimed at forging a unified brand image and cohesive wayfinding experience, effectively portraying WaterPark Place as an inclusive and welcoming community for both tenants and visitors.

A UNIFYING BRAND
The WaterPark Place branding system was designed by KDA to work consistently across the three towers, visually communicate their respective addresses, and reinforce the connectively of WaterPark Place.

CURATING A DESIGN PALETTE
The signage program employs a light palette composed of white tones, frosted glass, stainless steel, and soft, diffused lighting. These chosen elements are meticulously curated to align with the modern, sleek aesthetic of WaterPark Place, effectively encapsulating the vibrant essence of its surroundings.

INTUITIVE NAVIGATION
The wayfinding program provides intuitive navigation that connects the three towers and a central mezzanine retail food hall. It serves as an important north-south pedestrian access route from the waterfront to Toronto’s Union Station.

The digital network reflects the intelligent and sustainable design mandate of WaterPark Place.
