Immediately adjacent to the award-winning OCAD U ‘table-top’ structure, Form Condos is a modern and stylish residential development located at 50 McCaul Street. With its sleek and innovative architectural design and clean lines, Form is a distinct figure on a lively streetscape, embodying the artistic, cultural and creative energy of the neighbourhood.
KDA’s signage program for this boutique condo celebrates these attributes by utilizing a modern approach to form combined with a striking black and white colour palette. The facetted, organic design of the signs reinforces the architectural and interior design language of Form.
Sculpture takes Form
A striking feature of the signage program is the re-imagined presentation of Form’s street address. Sitting boldly outside the main entrance like a welcoming sculpture, the ‘5’ and ‘0’ are individually formed and uniquely facetted from metal with a sleek, enamel finish.
Graphics take Form
For privacy-screening on windows and doors, KDA designed an environmental graphic pattern presented as a two dimensional linear interpretation of Form’s architectural building facets.
