Falls Management Company, Niagara Falls

Perched above the world-famous Niagara Falls, Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort is a $1 billion destination that ranks among Canada’s largest and most iconic integrated resorts. The complex features a 30-storey luxury hotel, a 200,000 square-foot casino, multiple performance theatres, a full-service spa, a diverse array of restaurants and bars, upscale retail, and expansive conference 
 and wedding facilities.

KDA was retained to lead the signage and brand development for the entire resort. This included creating the overarching resort brand as well as distinct visual identities for 20 destinations across the site. Our scope encompassed dramatic exterior signage, a branded digital welcome pylon—one of the first of its kind in Canada—and a comprehensive wayfinding system that seamlessly connects the resort’s many public amenities.

The signage program was thoughtfully integrated with the interior design, enhancing the overall guest experience through clarity, elegance, and a sense of place.

LADY OF THE FALLS

Inspired by the grandeur of turn-of-the-century resorts, the ‘Lady of the Falls’ logo captures the elegance and drama of Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort. Her silhouette—long hair cascading into the falls—is embraced by the name on either side; the symbol, like the falls itself, is tall and wondrous. Facing toward ‘Fallsview,’ she evokes anticipation and highlights the resort’s spectacular setting.
 
While rooted in the long-standing tradition of using female figures as icons of luck and hospitality, the Lady of the Falls reimagines this motif as a symbol of strength, elegance, and enduring appeal. More than a logo, it is a representation of the quality, service excellence, and unparalleled entertainment experience that guests can expect with every visit.

Iconic Digital Beacon

Standing at an impressive 65 feet tall, the spectacular digital welcome pylon at Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort is a landmark in its own right. Inspired by the energy of Las Vegas and the natural drama of the nearby falls, the pylon showcases the resort’s signature ‘Lady of the Falls’ logo and integrates two 13’ x 25’ full-colour, custom-curved Mitsubishi video displays—the highest-resolution screen of its kind in Canada at the time of installation.  A continuous LED band wraps all four sides of the pylon, delivering live updates on entertainment, promotions, and special events.

Clad in custom-etched decorative panels and illuminated with internal blue lighting, the pylon evokes the cascading movement of water, serving as both a visual icon and an immersive brand experience for arriving guests.

KDA’s vision for the pylon was to capture the grandeur of the Victorian-inspired architecture and the raw excitement of a world-class casino resort, while paying homage to one of the natural wonders of the world.

Distinct Destinations, Unified Vision

To support the scale and complexity of the resort, KDA created a family of distinct visual identities for more than 20 destinations across the site—each one tailored to reflect its unique experience while maintaining a cohesive brand presence.

From the elegance of the Avalon Theatre and the refined indulgence of 17 Noir, to the sumptuous energy of the Grand Buffet, every identity was thoughtfully crafted. The Galleria Shopping Centre, spa and fitness facilities, and state-of-the-art meeting and convention spaces were all given their own expressive design language, ensuring guests can navigate, explore, and connect with each space in an intuitive and immersive way.

Seamless Arrival

KDA developed a clear, intuitive signage and wayfinding system for Fallsview’s expansive multi-level parking facilities, ensuring guests experience ease and confidence from the moment they arrive. Strategically placed directional signage, branded entry markers, and floor identification graphics support efficient navigation and reinforce the resort’s premium identity—even before guests set foot inside.
