2131 Yonge
CAPITAL DEVELOPMENTS, Toronto
KDA developed a contemporary signage and wayfinding program for 2131 Yonge, a vibrant 624-unit condo and mixed-use development by Capital Developments, in collaboration with Architects Alliance and Karl Lagerfeld.
This high-profile partnership has resulted in a landmark project that seamlessly combines residential and retail spaces, embodying a harmonious fusion of architectural innovation and fashion-forward design. Situated on the former site of the Art Shoppe, Toronto’s iconic furniture store, the development is located in the heart of the city’s vibrant Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood.
Artful Design
Echoing the building’s projecting white box framing patterns and paying homage to the Art Shoppe’s rich history, KDA’s signage and wayfinding program features hard-edged colour motifs and gallery-inspired frames. This art-focused theme is thoughtfully integrated throughout the property, from public spaces to residential corridors.
The sleek, sculptural signage mirrors the clean lines of the interior design while incorporating subtle artistic references. The use of bespoke materials and artful details ensures that every sign becomes a refined piece of visual art, enhancing the overall ambiance of these shared spaces.
